Carpet Drying System
Our carpet drying systems provide efficient and uniform drying of coated carpets, ensuring reliable moisture removal and consistent process quality. Designed to support continuous production, they combine high drying performance with optimized energy consumption.

Carpet Stenter (Tenter Frame)
Designed for precise width control and dimensional stabilization, our carpet stenter systems ensure consistent carpet geometry throughout the finishing process. They provide reliable fabric guidance, controlled heat treatment and improved product quality.

The carpet drying system (RAM / dryer machine) forms the drying section of carpet backing and lamination lines. It can be quoted separately — with a new line or as an addition to your existing one.

The number of chambers is not fixed: it is set by the material to be coated, the line speed and the coating thickness. Chamber length, heating power and the other technical features are designed to the requirements of the line the drying system will be used in.

Options we quote:

  • Electric drying: resistance heating. PID control holds the temperature precisely.
  • Gas drying
  • Transport: roller or mesh belt. Woven carpet is fed in on a belt.
  • IR pre-drying: can be added at the infeed to raise line speed.

Example: Electric Drying for Woven Carpet

For a woven carpet anti-slip line we quoted a two-chamber electric dryer with a belt infeed. The oven is split into lower and upper thermal sections. Hot air is blown from above onto the carpet back only; the pile surface is protected by a movable thermal curtain. Each chamber has two circulation fans and its own PID temperature control.

Carpet Stenter (Tenter Frame)

Used after carpet backing and/or lamination, the RAM (stenter) configuration is built gas-fired for tufted carpet, with the hot air blown and directed from above. Its working width and effective drying length are likewise designed to the requirements of the line it will be used in. The drying concept is developed around the thermal sensitivity of carpet — specifically to keep the pile surface from being damaged by high temperature.

The infeed carries an operator platform, two motor-driven spiral spreader rollers on independent drives, right/left independently servo-driven cross-take rollers (AISI 304 stainless) and a touch-screen control panel.

Heating type and transport are also chosen for your product. Installation and commissioning are carried out by CEMAY engineering.
