A conveyor belt works through the coating layers applied to its carrier fabric (the carcass). The belt runs over pulleys: the grip of its underside on the pulley, the fit of its top face to the goods it carries, its abrasion resistance and the adhesion between its layers are all set by those layers. Light conveyor belts are used across a wide field, from logistics and parcel sorting to food production, and every use calls for its own surface profile and coating recipe.
