Tarpaulin and technical-textile combined coating line at 3400 mm working width, with combined knife-over-air / knife-over-roll coating, a 6-chamber 18 m electric dryer and a 40-tonne water-cooled smoothing calender.

Tarpaulin production calls for precision, stability and a well-controlled coating process. The CEMAY tarpaulin coating line applies PVC coating to wide polyester fabric as a homogeneous, durable layer; waterproofing, UV and abrasion resistance, a consistent coat weight and an even surface come with that layer. PVC-coated tarpaulin has a wide field of use, from truck and lorry covers to tents, awnings and industrial covers.

How does a tarpaulin coating line work?

Tarpaulin coating is the controlled application of a PVC layer onto a polyester base fabric, cured in an oven to produce a waterproof surface that resists UV and chemicals. The result comes not from a single machine but from six connected units working as one.

  1. Fabric feeding and tension control Advanced tension control across the entire line keeps the fabric stable.
  2. Precision knife-over-roll coating PVC coating is applied to wide polyester fabrics with exceptional uniformity and durability.
  3. Highly efficient drying and curing In special ovens the PVC layer fully penetrates the fabric and gains durability.
  4. Maximum durability and flexibility Emboss systems add both aesthetic texture and functionality to the tarpaulin.
  5. Full compliance with industrial standards The tarpaulins produced are waterproof, UV resistant and chemical resistant.
  6. Uninterrupted production capacity Heavy-duty machine design delivers high productivity up to 3400 mm working width.

Coating types are PVC, paste and foam; the control system rests on a precision knife and tension control.
