The Carpet Roll Winding Unit sits at the outfeed of the carpet backing coating line; it rolls carpet whose coating and drying are complete into a roll under controlled, even and constant tension. The rolls come off even and compact, ready to ship, which makes handling and storage easier.
The carpet is rolled on the unit's driven winding rollers. Their surfaces do not damage the carpet and give high grip; winding proceeds under control so that the edges do not wander and the carpet does not ripple. The unit runs on its own drive: AC motor, reducer and frequency inverter (VFD). Winding speed is synchronised with the line speed and can be adjusted from the operator panel when needed; as the roll diameter grows, winding speed and torque are regulated automatically, so the carpet is neither over-tensioned nor slack.
Roll diameter and winding status are monitored by sensors, and the operator gets a visual or digital signal when a roll is complete. Roll removal and empty-shaft loading are designed around operator ergonomics; moving winding parts are behind mechanical guards, and the emergency stop works together with the whole line. The unit is built on a heavy-duty welded steel frame with painted, corrosion-protected metal surfaces.
